On completion of Furnace Heat-Up process, it is necessary to re-establish a working temperature level as soon as possible. To ensure these, cullet should be charged in such a way that a rapid glass melting rate is achieved, without sudden cooling of any part of the furnace refractory.

Heat Advantage’s Cullet Blowers are especially designed for the job to achieve highest ratio of surface area to unit weight for rapid filling which requires cullet spread covering larger area of hearth.

Furnace temperature is carefully monitored throughout the process,with an added focused on the throat and riser, when electrical backup heat is unavailable, To eliminate the possibility of freezing glass in these areas, provision of a temporary bubbler in throat and riser is required, as a special case.
